Toyota presents its first hydrogen-powered vehicle in Alcobendasmiércoles, 12 septiembre 2018 This morning Alcobendas has become the epicenter of environmental progress. The automobile company Toyota has presented is the seat of the municipality a new vehicle that works with the tank full of hydrogen, instead of polluting fuels such as diesel and gasoline. The event was attended by the Councilor for the Environment of the Community of Madrid, Carlos Izquierdo, who highlighted the regional government’s commitment to zero-emission vehicles to combat climate change.According to Toyota managers, there are still 15 years left until the infrastructure required by fuel cell electric vehicles is fully developed. But today’s is an important step, they say, to reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. On the other hand, the Community of Madrid continues reviewing the Air Quality and Climate Change Strategy, approved in 2014, to adapt it to the objectives set in 2020.
