FOUNDATION

On June 17, 2002, the Act of incorporation of the Spanish Association of Fuel Cells (APPICE) was signed, which arises from the common desire of a group of people, companies and public and private institutions related to science, technology, use and applications of Fuel Cells.

A few months later, on October 30, a session was organized in the CIEMAT conference room for presentation and dissemination among all the virtually interested groups (companies, technology centers, research centers, universities) with press assistance to its disclosure to the whole society.

The purpose of the Spanish Association of Fuel Cells is to promote the scientific and technical development of this technology, to publicize its potential in national and international spheres and to provide training and information to interested social agents.

OBJECTIVES

The Association’s main purposes are the following:

– Encourage the scientific and technical development of Fuel Cell technology, promoting all those activities that may be related to the study and use of them.

– Publicize the scientific and technical potential of the Fuel Cells and their impact on the economy through the organization or sponsorship of different dissemination activities such as Fairs, Exhibitions or Public Halls of National or International scope, in agreement with the competent authorities in each case.

– Increase the professional knowledge of its members and encourage their exchange through the organization of Meetings and Publications of different character.

– Advise in the scientific-technical area of the Sector to the official or private entities that request it.

– Strengthen relations with national or foreign entities, whose activities may have some relationship with those of the Association, especially with the other European and world groups of Fuel Cells.
