South Korea has made public its strategy around the electric vehicle for the year 2022: getting the batteries to offer 600 kilometers of autonomy and triple the recharge speed. The plans of Korea contemplate to take the electric car to travel, of generalized form, 600 kilometers by load in next the four years. Hydrogen-powered vehicles also play a part in Korea’s industrial plans, which aim to make them more durable and cheaper.
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy of Korea, which presented its medium and long-term technological development plan last week, segments the industry into five main focuses: electric and autonomous vehicles, semiconductors and screens, applications of the internet of things (IoT), bio-health and new and renewable energy.
As for the electric vehicle, the efforts of the South Korean industry will focus on the development of solutions for vehicle batteries and charging systems.
