Airbus and a Murcia firm drive technology for aircraft with clean hydrogenmiércoles, 14 noviembre 2018 The aeronautical company Airbus presented this Friday in Cologne (Germany) the Metaliq technology, developed together with the company Drage & Mate International (D & M), located in the Science Park of Murcia, for its application in the electric propulsion of aircraft. A global presentation on the occasion of the international symposium on ‘Propulsion and electric and hybrid aerospace technology’, considered the biggest event of ultra-low emissions. The good results achieved with the technological advances of the Murcian company, led by Amalio Garrido, were key for the European multinational, in which Spain participates, to include this project. The Systems Engineer of Airbus, Víctor Manuel de Frutos, with whom he has worked closely, was in charge of exposing the advances to engineers, designers and aircraft manufacturers from all over the world.Drage & Mate International is an R & D company specialized in chemical engineering for power generation and vehicle propulsion systems. Its proposal of high energy density system corresponds to one of the innovative solutions provided at the international level in the German event to meet the goal set by the European Commission, consisting of reaching 2050 achieving a reduction in CO2 emissions from aircraft in 75%; of nitrogen oxides by 90%; and 65% noise levels.
