Hydrogen is postulated as an alternative to diesel and electric carsviernes, 14 septiembre 2018 The commitment acquired by the European Union in the fight against climate change means reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 20% by the 2020 horizon. With a view to the year 2030, a reduction of 40% is being considered in the winter package, preparing a path that should lead to a reduction of 80-95% in 2050, compared to 1990, an objective pointed out in the energy and climate route map of the European Union. At a European level, in the field of hydrogen technologies, there are potentials and objectives for the year 2030, such as reaching a fleet of 5 million fuel cell electric vehicles and 13 million private users or the use of 600 kt of hydrogen in the industrial sector. With these figures, the reduction of 80mt of CO2 and the creation of 850,000 jobs could be achieved.
